Reminder: A/W posts not to miss

Reminder: A/W posts not to miss

The colder weather came faster than expected, so I wanted to bring your attention to my past posts regarding great dressing in Autumn. Some call it sweater-weather, some "I hate the morning fog". I call it "My favourite time of the year when it comes to dressing".

Barbour jacket – as there is nothing more useful on rainy days than a cotton rainproof jacket. Some features are: a lot of handful pockets, an inner waistcoat that you can put inside the jacket when it's too cold, warm fleece pockets for frozen hands and generally, it is a top layer that goes well with tons of things. More here.

Shetland wool sweater – a warm, lightweight sweater. I love the rough structure of Shetland wool and always can't wait to pull it out in Autumn again. More here.

Flannel suit – Time to put linen suit back to the closet. A flannel one will provide better services, it's warm, soft, durable, and its structure goes either with dress shirts as perfectly as with rough knitwear, such as Shetland wool or ribbed cashmere. See mine from The Owners here and here.

Quality knitwear wool or cashmere - intentionally, I include not only Shetland but knits in general. Autumn is a time when all your finest pullovers will be in use again. Check my Autumn knitwear guide 1 - 2 - 3.

Rainproof boots – I'd say no more words needed here. Higher boots are more than welcome starting autumn and then through all wintertime. More here.

Socks – One or two years back, I wrote one of my most comprehensive posts yet. And it was about socks. I know it may sound odd, but I feel socks are a greatly underestimated part of the outfit. Moreover, it can make the difference between cold and warm feet, which is crucial on cold days for your mental well-being as well.

See those posts that are worth reading again. And don't let Autumn surprise you!

Yours sincerely,

Denis
