Balancing Fatherhood, Work, and Hobbies

Dear everyone,

It's been a while since I last posted on my blog, and I wanted to express my sincere apologies. As some of you may know, I recently became a father, and it has been a life-changing experience. I've been trying to balance work, taking care of my daughter, and my hobbies, which include playing golf and going mountain biking.

I must confess that it hasn't been easy, and I've struggled to find enough time for everything. As a result, I've had to make some tough decisions, and unfortunately, my blog had to take a back seat for a while.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have reached out to me during this time. Your support and kind words have meant the world to me, and I'm genuinely grateful.

Playing golf and mountain biking has been my go-to activities during my free time. I find that it helps me feel more refreshed and keeps my mental state in check. It's essential to take care of ourselves and our mental health, especially during these uncertain times.

I'm still learning to balance everything, and being a father is a new and exciting journey. I hope that you can understand and continue to support me as I navigate through this phase in my life.

But still, there are things I find very appealing to wear and be interested in and which still make the world of menswear interesting and enjoyable to me.

One of which is a double-breasted black linen suit. I love the paradox here - linen is mainly a summer material that is light and airy and should keep you chilled. That is why it's reasonable to have a lighter colour and not much material around you. But DB suit in black colour goes against all these beliefs, and that is why it's so admirable (and cool).

Of course, the required touch would be here to have it tailored, MTM or bespoke, so it's not really tight, but there's some space between the body and suit so air can circulate. Otherwise, you could be truly playing with overheating here. Not a good idea.

Another exciting thing showed me my tailor Michal Trnka during my last visit. An interesting idea from The Anthology was to make a shirt with the "wrong" side of the fabric, and we agreed that we might like it more than the original.

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Therefore, some talented brands can show all of us that we've not run out of ideas and the world of menswear is still relevant.

On the other hand, some brands became quite boring to me as watching the same sweater coming out year and year over again, only changing colour, does not keep my attention. However, needless to say, this is only to me, who is following the world of menswear and especially quality menswear every day. For someone building their closet from scratch, such essential pieces as quality sweaters are crucial. But after you have it in your closet, there are not many reasons to come back to the such store.

In conclusion, I would like to say that I'm sorry for not posting on my blog as often as I used to. However, I promise to get back on track and deliver valuable content to all of you. Until then, stay stylish, stay true to yourself, and take care of your mental health.

Thank you for reading.

Best,

Denis
