6 things to buy for the rest of the summer

Casatlantic Anfa knit

Anfa features two possibilities - mesh knit and rib knit. Both are inspired by old sports knits, a bit like Colhay's but less conservative - bolder and stylish. But of course, Colhay's is more focused on the material.

I planned to buy rib knit already last year, but it was sold out pretty fast, so I needed to be careful this time. I was deciding for a few days and, in the end, planned to go for the pistachio colour. However, it was sold a few hours ago. So I went for my second choice - off-white - as the latest addition to my wardrobe. It is very airy and comfy. I can't wait to create an outfit post with it.

The Anthology knitted T-shirt

The Anthology offers a lot of exciting things. Lately, I've desired most of them. Unfortunately, VAT + duties on delivery are annoying. But these are not high when opting for something which is not expensive like their shirts, popovers or t-shirt.

Their knitted t-shirts were praised for the cut and easy-to-wear style by most menswear capacities. And that is why this keeps staying on my bucket list.

Oh, and yes, it is another knit within my 6 things to buy because I believe that it is one of the best investments and the best things to wear. Proof here or here.

White trousers in cotton or linen

These are specifically from Suitsupply. However, I intentionally didn't name any brand as it can be literally from anywhere. Name your budget, material or style. Go to your local tailor, low-end or high-end brand. Trousers like this are versatile, especially in hotter weather, so one won't feel too hot but still look elegantly.

And I like to wear long trousers on vacation too - for evenings and dinners. It's a shame that a lot of people use an argument of warmth for not wearing them. Just look at people living in very hot environments - often covered by long sleeves and trousers. To protect them from burnings from the sun.

Lock & Co. Oxford Boater

Eh, not much to say here. I was really not a fan of boaters. I kind of hated them a bit. But as it is with everything, our tastes change. It develops through time in a certain direction.

Recently I learned a lot about hats, and especially their quality. Then I also realised that maybe the reason why I was not too fond of boaters was the poor quality I witnessed. Or perhaps just my taste changed more than I expected.

Now I would like to have some very much, please. Like this Oxford boater, the top version from Lock & Co. - stylish and elevating.

The penny loafer in unlined suede by morjas shoes

As proofed by Andreas Weinas in multiple of his Instagram posts, these shoes - to me - represent heaven within shoes. So versatile, buttery soft and yet quite a match for most outfits - be it a suit or shorts with a Cuban collared shirt on vacation.

I don't know if Morjas made them a bit more expensive, but it seems they did. Anyway, I'd buy them faster than a wink of an eye if that money was free in my wallet. Comfortable shoes for wearing with pretty much anything? That's what we all are after, don't we?

Whatever proper at your local tailor

We all have a local tailor we love to support. So let's go and support him! It will make us happy, and it will make him or her happy.

We can use it and make stronger the weak spots in our wardrobe. Be it a white or light separate jacket, appropriate for most occasions or those white, beige, light grey or light brown trousers for summer evenings. And linen shirts are also needed. Remember to check if yours are still suitable to wear.

Thank you for reading.

Best,

Denis
